Ms. White, born in Oklahoma, attended Vassar
College and graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth
College in 1973, where she was a member of Phi
Beta Kappa. She received her law degree from
the University of Virginia School of Law in
1976.
Ms. White’s practice focuses on bankruptcy
and insolvency law and creditors’ rights,
as well as general commercial litigation.
Ms. White has served as President and Chair, and is currently a Director of
the
Southeastern Bankruptcy Law Institute. She is a Trustee of the International
Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) - Georgia Network. She
has served as Chair of the Bankruptcy Court Subcommittee of the Atlanta Bar
Association's Courts Committee, the Standing Committee on Local Rules of the Bankruptcy
Section, State Bar of Georgia, and the Standing Committee on Local Rules of the Atlanta
Bar Association, Bankruptcy Section.
Ms. White lectures regularly on bankruptcy issues, and has been a guest speaker for
the Practising Law Institute, the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section of the Alabama Bar,
the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia, Georgia State University College of
Law, and Mercer Law School. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Dartmouth
Club of Georgia. Ms. White has been included in the Best Lawyers in America 2008 and 2009
editions, and has been named one of Georgia's Legal Elite 2008 - The Best Lawyers in Georgia,
by Georgia Trend Magazine and was named a 2009, 2010 and 2011
Super Lawyer by Law & Politics Magazine and the publishers of Atlanta
Magazine.
